Social Media Content and Management

Social Media Content and Management

Social Media is a tricky beast, and unfortunately many small businesses are not aware that behaviour is dependent on your business model, and that there is no one formula.  What is supposed to be the great marketing equaliser has become a question of time and resources. Today, to get the word out about your business, you either have to spend a lot of time managing social media, or spend a big budget on boosting. A small business does not have much of either. Keep It Simple offers a way around it by farming out the time needed managing to our overseas team, all while managing planning, research and quality control based on business objectives locally. For as little as $10 per hour, we can help with executing posts based on a set strategy and schedule.

SOME social media REMINDERS for small business

  • Always have an achievable objective - Its easy to get lost in the like and follow game. Posting content for the sake of creating noise and interest is good only if it follows your battle plan in eliciting behaviour  - getting the viewer to act on the information. This means planning your posts, being relevant, and always having a call to action or resolution.
  • Use Analytics - These are invaluable tools that are available to everyone - not just social media or marketing managers. Account for all the activity generated by your channels and see if it is effective. Its as easy as opening a dashboard and seeing the results as people click.
  • Likes do not necessarily mean sales - As mentioned, its a trap sometimes to have hundreds or thousands of followers on Instagram or Facebook, yet not have any relevant content that follows a plan. Yes you may have the audience, but do you interact with them? Is there a relationship with the customer? Is there real interest in what you are sharing?

There is so much more about Social Media - especially how it is continually evolving and how the algorithms are changing. Keep in touch with updates on The Resource blog, or for any questions, feel free to ask us here.
